The quality of formative data a teacher can generate during instruction is directly related to the quality of the questions the teacher asks and the classroom conversations it generates.  This session provides a rationale for using the process of conversation as an instructional foundation and explores options for creating engaging conversations and a set of criteria for monitoring student engagement and increasing student investment along the way.
